March 1-22 students will have the tremendous opportunity to learn, first hand, the powerful feeling that comes from doing something to help others. We will participate in the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's School & Youth Programs, Pennies for Patients. This cause has special relevance for children and their families as leukemia causes more than any other cancer among children under the age of 20.

Students can bring in spare change that they find at home, donations from parents, family members and neighbors, and even money saved in their own piggy banks. Our school has been awarded the honor of being the Top Fundraising School in Alabama 2 out of 3 years. I hope that this year will be just as successful!

It is so exciting to work with students who have a heart for helping others!
